Royal Borough Kensington Chelsea

The Curve Community Centre provides a safe, welcoming space for families and individuals from across the North Kensington area who feel affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The Curve provides the support and services you need, no matter what stage of your journey you are at.

ConnecMe2 is a community partner that operates from the Curve Community Centre in Latimer Road who develop programmes and activities to help residents progress their talent. This project is managing the building of a modern useable enterprise campus as a concession within the community centre.

The Curve Opportunity & Learning Hub will be a designated concession area within the community centre. The campus installation is part of The Curve’s wider enterprise strategy to support residents and enable local economic growth.

The installation will allow Grenfell affected residents and people from the wider community to come and enhance their skills, develop their aspirations and unlock their vocational potential. This is key to their personal development and is especially beneficial for new entrants in to work, people returning to work and those looking to generally upskill.

Users of The Curve Campus will be assisted by the dedicated employability and skills team, and businesses will also have the opportunity to run sessions and engage in training, therefore investing in the skills development of residents. This installation reflects The Curve’s commitment to long-term, sustainable growth in the community and is based on digital inclusion and enterprise.

We worked in collaboration with organisations that wished to support /provide resources for the installation of this vital and engaging special project.

The local community and all the volunteers and staff at The Curve Community Centre see the concession as a monument to our collaborative effort in supporting the residents on their steps to gaining qualifications, access and becoming enabled.</b>
