ConnecMe2 and Talksport invited young workers to apply for a brand new apprenticeship scheme at the worlds biggest radio station Talksport. We sought 3 young seekers to become part of a valuable team and get their foot in the world of radio. The apprentices underwent training in multiple journalism and radio skills at PA Training, part of PA Media, the national news agency for the UK and Ireland. They then completed a rotation in three different departments across the talkSPORT network. At the end of the eighteen month apprenticeship, our applicants achieved a NCTJ qualification and the right skills for a career in sports broadcasting. The amazing team at talkSPORT provided useful insight and into developing creativity, storytelling, conscientiousness and drive.

To apply, we wanted to reach out to those who have a passion to pursue a career in radio. So we asked applicants to shoot us a 1 minute video answering all three of the questions below:
* How will this talkSPORT apprenticeship benefit you?
* What is your greatest achievement and what role have you always dreamed of working in?
* Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
This apprenticeship scheme has been a huge success and we are proud to say the candidates have hit the ground running at there new apprenticeship. But this is not over, we will soon have even more schemes available to you.
